Washington Park Arboretum
Just like that, autumn has come and gone, and suddenly Seattle feels perpetually enveloped in winter air.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our first autumn in Seattle. The fall foliage has far surpassed what I’ve ever experienced in my New England childhood, and I’ve felt so inspired by all the colors and hues.
One of our favorite discoveries has been the Washington Park Arboretum, where we’ve witnessed some of the best foliage. I’ll miss the full and vibrant trees, as well as the fun in seeing the colors change week by week, but I’m grateful for these moments I was able to capture on our last visit:
I have such a renewed appreciation for those who have a gift for creating, planting, and nurturing our parks and gardens. This year - with all its restrictions on where we can and cannot go safely - has encouraged us as a family to spend more time outdoors (socially distanced with masks, of course!). It’s been so good for our souls.
